It is intended to provide a vaccine for FIP with the use of an N protein having a specific structure or its fragment as an antigen. A desirable antigen is an N protein originating in a specific type I virus strain (KU-2). A vaccine containing this N protein exerts a preventive effect on FIPV over a broad range. Because of being free from infection-enhancing epitopes, this N protein is highly safe. Moreover, it can establish a preventive effect on the type I virus amounting to 70% or more of factors causative of FIP.

L'invention porte sur un vaccin contre la PIF préparé avec une protéine N présentant structure spécifique ou un fragment de celle-ci en tant qu'antigène. Un antigène avantageux est une protéine N qui provient d'une souche virale spécifique de type I (KU-2). Le vaccin contenant cette protéine N produit un effet préventif contre les virus PIF avec un large rayon d'action. Etant donné qu'elle est exempte d'épitopes activateurs d'infection, cette protéine est très sûre. Elle permet en outre d'obtenir un effet préventif contre les virus du type I correspondant à au moins 70 % des facteurs causals de la PIF.
