ABSTRACT The invention concerns improvements in fence posts. A fence post comprises a trunk to be vertical above the ground with its base substantially at ground level and a prong which extends on the one hand into the ground to a depth below the expected frost line and on the other hand upwardly into the body of the trunk to support it. The prong is preferably a galvanised steel rod or tube, especially a tube.
