A fender system for protecting a high curvature surface includes a top layer of UHMWP, a middle resilient layer of elastomeric material and a base layer. The base layer and resilient layer have notches provided therein to facilitate bending the fender system in accordance with the curved surface.

L'invention porte sur un pare-battage destiné à la protection de surfaces à forte courbure et comportant une couche supérieure de polyéthylène à poids moléculaire très élevé (UHMWP), une couche centrale élastique et une couche de base. Ces deux dernières couches sont munies d'encoches facilitant la courbure du pare-battage pour lui permettre de s'adapter à celle des surfaces support.
