Fenestration frame assemblies and associated methods are disclosed. For example, one embodiment is directed toward a fenestration frame assembly that includes a main frame adapted to support a closure member with respect to a main frame opening. The main frame can include an external periphery ad a peripheral gutter that extends along at least a portion of the external periphery of the main frame. The peripheral gutter can be positioned to deter liquid from flowing in at least one direction relative to the external periphery of the main frame.
