Provided is a melt-processible perfluorinated polymer composition comprising (a) a melt-processible perfluoropolymer comprising (i) from 80 to 98% by weight of repeating units derived from tetrafluoroethylene, (ii) from 2 to 20% by weight of repeating units derived from hexafluoropropylene, and (iii) from 0 to 5% by weight of repeating units derived from further comonomers other than tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene, and wherein the proportion by weight of the repeating units derived from hexafluoropropylene units is greater than that of the repeating units of said further comonomers, and (b) from 0.01 to 5% by weight, based on perfluoropolymer (a), of a high-molecular- weight perfluorinated polymer with a melting point at least 20~C above that of the fluoropolymer (a). Also provided are processes for making and using such melt-processable compositions.
La présente invention concerne une composition de polymère perfluorée qu'on peut traiter par fusion comprenant (a) un polymère perfluoré qu'on peut traiter par fusion, lequel comprend (i) de 80 % à 98 % en masse d'unité de répétition dérivées de tétrafluoroéthylène, (ii) de 2 % à 20 % en masse d'unités de répétition dérivées d'exafluoropropylène, et (iii) de 0 % à 5 % en masse d'unités de répétition dérivées d'autres comonomères autres que tétrafluoroéthylène et hexafluoroéthylène, la proportion en masse des unités de répétition dérivées d'exafluoropropylène étant plus importante que celle des unités de répétition dérivées de ces autres comonomères, et (b) de 0,01 % à 5 % en masse, par rapport au polymère perfluoré (a), d'un polymère perfluoré à masse moléculaire élevée avec un point de fusion d'au moins 20 ·C au dessus de celui du polymère perfluoré (a). Cette invention concerne aussi des processus de fabrication de ces compositions qu'on peut traiter par fusion.
