ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An NPK fertilizer solution is treated with an acid till crystals of a solid solution of monoammonium orthophosphate in monopotassium orthophosphate crystallise out, the crystals are separated from the supernatent liquor and redissolved to form an NPK solution of decreased chloride content, with the supernatent liquor comprising an NPK solution of enhanced chloride content.
