Abstract A fertilizer is to consist, to a significant extent, of a vegetable fruit meal or processed product of a fruit meal. The fruits contain all the nutrients necessary for the survival and growth of the new plants. The present invention makes these accessible for fertilizing. In order to create the nitrogent content that is, as a rult, missing from the fruit meal, the fertilizer can, if required, contain an addition of an artificial fertilizer that contains nitrogen. However, one variation that has a natural content of nitrogen can be produced. It has been shown that liquid manure that contains nitrogen can be processed to form a fertilizer according to the present invention, and, since this can be stored and used without any problems, disposed of. Most surprisingly, the liquid manure loses its odour when treated with the processed product of a fruit meal, and the harmful substances are bound therein.
