With standard fiber optic telecommunication cables, in a loose tube style, in multiples of 12, it is often difficult to remember the exact location (fiber color and tube color) of a particular fiber within the cable. This Fiber Cable Counter allows the Fiber Splicing Technicians to quickly identify a particular fiber in a hand tool. As well if fiber cable counts are of a composite nature with more than one, fiber number one, within the cable, then this Fiber Cable Counter allows the Technician to re-set the fiber cable count and identify the actual fiber cable color and tube which is different than the sequential cable numbering. This will allow Fiber Splicing Technicians to quickly and accurately identify the correct fiber within the cable sheath. It is also very useful to the Engineer to identify fiber complements he/she wishes to re-route within a cable to an alternate branch.
