FIBER OPTIC CABLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to an improved fiber optic cable and a method for manufacturing the same. An optical fiber is maintained concentrically within a textile serve by means of a highly viscous coating applied to the optical fiber. The result is an economical fiber optic cable in which microbending and concomitant signal loss are minimized.
