In a fiber optic current sensor having a coiled sensor fiber (1) which encloses a current conductor (S), and at least one phase delay element (4, 5) adjoining the sensor fiber (1), the at least one phase delay element (4, 5) has a phase delay with a temperature dependence such that it at least approximately compensates for a temperature dependence of a Verdet's constant (V)of the sensor fiber (1). It is thereby possible to achieve an at least approximately temperature-independent sensor signal.

Il s'agit d'un détecteur de courant à fibre optique, pourvu d'une fibre optique de détecteur en hélice. (1) Ce détecteur renferme un conducteur de courant (S), et au moins un élément de retard de phase (4, 5) voisin de la fibre du détecteur (1). L'élément minimal de retard de phase (4, 5) présente un retard de phase dépendant de la température, de sorte qu'il compense au moins approximativement la dépendance de température d'une constante de Verdet (V) de la fibre du détecteur (1). Il est donc possible d'obtenir, au moins approximativement, un signal de détecteur indépendant de la température.
