A fiber optic photochromatic light transmission control system 10 for re- directing a light information signal 50 along a fiber optic cable 200. Fiber optic light source 20 activates a first light pipe 30, sending a light information signal 50 along first light pipe 30 within fiber optic cable 200. A photochromatic lense 40 positioned within first light pipe 30 is selectively illumnated by ultraviolet emission source 60, thereby darkening photochromatic lense 40 and thereby blocking transmission of light information signal 50. Light information signal 50 is redirected from first light pipe 30 through an interconnecting second light pipe 33, wherein light information signal 50 thereafter transverses a second phtochromatic lense 43 disposed within second light pipe 33, which is left transparent by selective inactivation of a second ultraviolet emission source 53. A complex array of interconnect light pipes and associated photochromatic lenses (each with its own ultraviolet emission source) are used to enable selective re- routing of a plurality of light information signals along fiber optic cable 200.
