Low moisture processed cellulose fiber pellets useful in the manufacture of cellulose fiber reinforced polymer products and materials, and an extruder- less process for forming such low moisture cellulose fiber pellets from wet processed cellulose fiber-based waste source materials. The cellulose fiber pellets include processed cellulose fibers and mixed plastics and/or inorganics such as minerals, clay, and the like, and have a moisture content of about 0.1 to 14 % by weight. The extruder-less process includes the steps of drying, grinding and pelletizing in a manner capable of forming low moisture cellulose fiber pellets from wet processed cellulose fiber-based waste source materials having a moisture content of about 40-80% by weight.

Cette invention concerne des pastilles en fibre de cellulose transformée à faible teneur en humidité convenant bien pour la fabrication de produits et de matériaux polymères renforcés par fibres de cellulose, et un procédé de fabrication sans extrusion desdites pastilles à partir de matériaux de rebut à base de fibre de cellulose traités par voie humide. Les pastilles en fibre de cellulose renferment des fibres cellulosiques traitées et des matières plastiques et/ou inorganiques mélangées tels que minéraux, argile, etc. et présentent une teneur en eau comprise entre 0,1 et 14 % en poids. L'obtention sans extrusion desdites pastilles englobe des opérations de séchage, broyage et boulettage, par voie humide, de matériaux de rebut à base de fibre cellulosique dont la teneur en eau est de 40-80 % en poids.
