FIBER-REINFORCED CALCIUM SILICATE HYDRATE INSULATION Abstract of the Disclosure An improved process is described for the "preautoclaved" production of calcium silicate hydrate thermal insulation. The improvement comprises the incorporation into the slurry of calcium silicate hydrate crystals 1-10 weight percent of poly(ethylene terephthalate) fibers of defined size. An improved insulation product containing these fibers is also described. In a preferred form, the slurry and product also contain glass fiber.
