ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A fiber reinforced composite structure having a glass transition temperature greater than 150°C is comprised of: a) reinforcing fiber and b) a curable epoxy resin composition comprising (i) one or more epoxides having more than one epoxide group per molecule, of which epoxides at least 10 percent by weight is a 9,9-bis[4-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)phenyl]fluorene, all of the fluorene epoxy present being free of ortho substitution; (ii) an effective amount of one or more epoxy curing agents.
