Abstract Fibres made of acrylonitrile polymers which are manufactured with a molar concentration of acrylonitrile units of at least 96% are used to reinforce products made of hydraulic binders. The fibres advantageously have a tenacity of at least 50 cN/tex and an elongation at break of at most 15%. After setting, these fibres give products having good flexural strengths and an excellent impact strength.
