ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Compositions containing fibrous clays and pre- calcined oxides are prepared by forming a fluid suspension of the clays with precalcined oxide particles, agitating the suspension to form a codispersion, and shaping and drying the codispersion. The precalcined oxides are pre- ferably preloaded with catalytic metals. The compositions are useful for conversion of hydrocarbonaceous feedstocks, preferably hydroprocessing.
