60382-1268E ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A fibrous mat-faced gypsum board is provided, for use in an exterior finishing system for a building, including particularly an exterior insulation system, and for use in a shaft liner panel and a shaft wall assembly. The gypsum board has a set gypsum core faced with a fibrous mat. The core includes one or more additives that are effective in improving the water- resistant properties of the board in an amount at least sufficient to impart to the board improved water-resistant properties.
