This invention provides a method for and an apparatus for easily getting a fibrous molded product molded in advance into a desired shape without molding an annular packing or the like such as a fibrous raw material under no application of a punching die. Water is poured into the water holding and dehydration tank of the molding apparatus 2 in advance in such a way that its water level becomes above the forming net 6, liquid raw material having desired plant fibers, mineral fibers, filling agent, chemicals and water mixed from each other is poured from the raw material tank into the raw material receiving part 9E, the inner cylindrical valve 9D is lifted up to cause the liquid raw material to be moved down, the agitating vanes 9B are reversed to rotate in a clockwise or a counter-clockwise direction so as to agitate the material, thereafter the opening or closing valve 7C is opened to discharge water, vacuum suction is applied at the suction port 7F and then the fibrous molded product 11 left on the forming net 6 within each of the mold frames 8 is dehydrated and molded. After this operation, the mold frames 8 are lifted up, the forming net is rotated toward the drying device 3 and then the fibrous molded product 11 is dried. Subsequently, the mold frames 8 are moved down and the aforesaid steps are repeated. Since the mold frames 8 shown in the drawings can form the sheet-like fibrous molded products, immersion of resin or chemicals in these products may become annular packings.
