ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A non-woven tube having fixed on its inner side a membrane for membrane filtration, with a tearing element present in the non-woven tube is disclosed. The tearing element consists preferably of a longitudinal welding joint obtained by ultra- sonic welding. The presence of the tearing element or member greatly facilitates removal of the membrane from the tube when the membrane is no longer useful.
