This invention relates fibrous materials, including fibrous laminated materials wherein a first fibrous layer (12) comprising a plurality of staple fibers or continuous filaments of a thermoplastic material and a second fibrous layer (22) comprising a plurality of staple fibers or continuous filaments of two or more thermoplastic or other materials are bonded together in a spaced apart bonding pattern (18) having apertures (30) formed therein to form a fibrous laminate having improved liquid distribution and management porperties as well as enhanced comfort and softness when placed in contact with human skin. In another aspect of this invention, a fibrous material is disclosed wherein a single fibrous layer comprising a plurality of staple fibers or continuous filaments of one or more thermoplastic materials is bonded in a spaced apart bonding pattern having apertures formed therein to form a fibrous web having improved liquid distribution and management properties and air circulation and permeability properties. Also disclosed are methods and apparatus for making such fibrous materials, as well as absorbent articles incorporating such fibrous materials.
L'invention concerne des matériaux fibreux, y compris des matériaux fibreux stratifiés dans lesquels une première couche fibreuse (12) comprenant une pluralité de fibres discontinues ou de filaments continus en matériau thermoplastique et une deuxième couche fibreuse (22) comprenant une pluralité de fibres discontinues ou de filaments continus constitués par deux ou plusieurs matériaux thermoplastiques ou autres, sont liées l'une avec l'autre selon un motif de liaisons (18) espacées possédant des ouvertures (30), de sorte qu'un stratifié fibreux soit formé, présentant des caractéristiques améliorées de maniabilité et de répartition de liquide, plus confortable et plus doux lorsqu'il est mis en contact avec la peau. Un autre aspect de l'invention concerne un matériau fibreux dans lequel une couche fibreuse unique comprenant une pluralité de fibres discontinues ou de filaments continus constitués par un ou plusieurs matériaux thermoplastiques est disposée selon un motif de liaisons espacées présentant des ouvertures, de sorte qu'une bande fibreuse présentant des caractéristiques améliorées de maniabilité, de répartition de liquide, de circulation d'air et de perméabilité soit formée. L'invention concerne également des procédés et des dispositifs de fabrication de ces matériaux fibreux, ainsi que des articles absorbants comprenant ces matériaux fibreux.
