ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus is disclosed for processing plastic melts of the type having a container from which plastic melt is delivered to a chamber of the processing section of the apparatus. A closing member is provided for the chamber outlet at the processing section of the apparatus which is adapted to selectively deliver the melt to a die filter of the processing section, or to re-circulate the melt back to the container while the die filter or the like is being replaced, thus assuring that the melt flows at all times and is thus prevented from becoming exposed to damaging excessive heat at any point of the system.
