FILE TAB WITH EXTENDED CUT-OUT REGION ABSTRACT A file tab having a pocket and means to affix the pocket to a file folder. The pocket has front and rear panels, first and second ends, and a predetermined height. At least one cut-out region extends from one of the ends of one of the panels of the pocket toward the center thereof by a distance which is greater than the predetermined height of the pocket to facilitate insertion and removal of a label into and out of the pocket. The cut-out regions are preferably elliptical, triangular or trapezoidal in shape.
