A storage cabinet (40) is formed of a plurality of generally planar prepainted sheet metal panels (42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52) adhesively laminated to one another to define a case of said cabinet. Certain of the panels (70-72) are formed with deep narrow inwardly projecting reinforcing ribs (76) disposed along edge portions of one side of the cabinet near the vertical corners, thereby forming reinforcing structures adjacent these corners. Another side panel (44) formed with edge flanges (86, 88) at right angles to its major plane is mounted with these flanges disposed in the open channels. Improved roller slide supports (140) for the drawers (66) are included, in which channels are formed for lateral confinement of the support rollers to desired predetermined tracks. The drawers (66) also include drawer boxes of thin sheet metal with mating molded plastic subfronts (220). The subfronts include configurations to provide for ease of assembly of the drawers and related components, such as latching and locking elements.
