A filled polymer composition which comprises (A) from 5 to 90 percent of one or more thermoplastic substantially random interpolymers prepared by polymerizing one or more .alpha.-olefin monomers with one or more vinylidene aromatic monomers and/or one or more hindered aliphatic or cycloaliphatic vinylidene monomers, and optionally with other polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer(s), and (B) from 10 to 95 percent of one or more inorganic fillers, the amounts of (A) and (B) being based on the total weight of (A) and (B). Fabricated articles made from the filled polymer compositions are useful as sound insulating or energy absorbing films or sheets or as floor, wall or ceiling coverings.
L'invention concerne une composition polymère à matériau de remplissage comprenant (A) de 5 à 90 % d'un ou plusieurs copolymères thermoplastiques sensiblement aléatoires obtenus par polymérisation d'une ou plusieurs alpha-oléfines avec un ou plusieurs monomères vinylidène aromatiques et/ou un ou plusieurs monomères vinylidène encombrés aliphatiques ou cycloaliphatiques, et éventuellement un ou plusieurs autres monomères polymérisables insaturés en éthylène, et (B) de 10 à 95 % d'un ou plusieurs matériaux de remplissage inorganiques, les quantités de (A) et (B) dépendant du poids total de (A) et (B). L'invention concerne aussi des articles à base de ce type de composition, qui sont utiles comme films ou feuilles d'isolation phonique ou d'amortissement ou encore comme revêtements de plancher, de mur ou de plafond.
