ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Filler-reinforced polyalkylene terephthalate moulding compositions are produced by homogeneously mixing a precondensate of poly-(1,4-butylene)-terephthalate and/or poly-(1,3-propylene)- terephthalate having a viscosity number of from 40 to 160 cm3/g with reinforcing fillers and, optionally, other additives, forming the resultant mixture into a shape and polymerizing the so formed mixture by solid-phase condensation under solid- phase condensation conditions. The filler-reinforced moulding compositions obtained by this process can be processed into more tough and elastic mouldings with improved creep behaviour by comparaison with comparable known moulding compositions.
