Porous regions or void regions of spray deposited articles of one composition are infilled with molten material of a differing composition which subsequently solidifies. The molten material flows to infill the porous or void regions under the influence of applied pressure or capillary type action. Typically, the sprayed material is molten metallic material, and the void porosity filling material is also metallic in composition but having a lower melting point.

La présente invention consiste à remplir des régions poreuses ou des régions soufflurées d'articles faits d'une composition et réalisés par dépôt par pulvérisation, le remplissage se faisant au moyen d'un matériau en fusion dont la composition est différente et qui se solidifie ultérieurement. En s'écoulant, le matériau en fusion s'infiltre dans les régions poreuses ou soufflurées par capillarité ou sous l'effet d'une pression exercée de l'extérieur. En règle générale, le matériau de pulvérisation est un matériau métallique en fusion, et le matériau de remplissage des pores ou des soufflures est également un matériau de composition métallique, mais dont le point de fusion est plus bas.
