A method and an apparatus for pre-loading a single use camera with film (24). The camera is pre-loaded in non-darkroom with the back cover assembled to the camera without exposing any substantial portion of the film (24). The camera has a film advance mechanism (22) that employs a manual advance wheel (40) which is rotated in opposing directions to pre-load film from a film cassette (26) in the camera to a film spool compartment and to wind film back into the film cassette (26) from the film spool compartment (16) as exposures are taken. The film advance mechanism (22) also opens and closes the film cassette's light lock door (28) and employs a film sensor to disable the film advance mechanism (22) from operating the light lock door (28) when film is present in a film path (68a) of the camera. The battery (90) is inserted inside the film spool compartment (16) to minimize the camera size.
Procédé et dispositif pour préchargement d'un appareil photographique à usage unique avec un film (24). L'appareil photographique est préchargé hors chambre noire, le fond étant assemblé à l'appareil sans exposer une portion notable du film (24). L'appareil photographique a un mécanisme d'entraînement du film (22) utilisant une molette (40) d'entraînement manuelle qui est tournée en deux directions opposées pour précharger le film d'une cassette (26) de film à l'intérieur de la caméra, en direction d'un compartiment enrouleur (16) de film du compartiment et pour rembobiner dans la cassette (26) le film exposé du compartiment enrouleur (16). Le mécanisme d'entraînement (22) ouvre et ferme également la porte d'obturation (28) de la cassette de film et utilise un détecteur pour empêcher le mécanisme d'entraînement (22) du film d'actionner la porte d'obturation (28) lorsqu'une portion de film est présente dans un circuit de film (68a) de l'appareil. La batterie (90) est insérée à l'intérieur du compartiment d'enroulement du film (16) pour réduire la taille de l'appareil.
