F23309-C-Canada ABSTRACT This invention relates to apparatus for scanning a film and for developing a video signal in response to the image on the film. According to the invention, image detecting apparatus responds to horizontal and vertical deflection signals for detecting image characteristics on the film in a raster pattern to generate the video signal. The apparatus of the invention is for controlling the angular orientation of the raster on the film and includes a circuit for generating horizontal and vertical deflection signals and a circuit which responds to a raster angle control signal for supplying the horizontal and vertical deflection signals with selected amplitude and polarity to horizontal and vertical deflection terminals on the image detecting apparatus.
