Heat shrinkable films having at least one layer comprising a blend of a first ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer having a M w/M n of from about 1 to 3.0 and a second ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer having an Mw/Mn greater than 3Ø The first ethylene/alphaolefin copolymer has a density of from about 0.91 g/cc to about 0.925 g/cc, a first melting point of from about 85°C to about 110°C, and a second melting point of from about 111°C to about 125°C. The second ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer has a density of from about 0.90 to about 0.91 g/cc. The first ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer makes up from about 5 to about 40 weight percent of the blend. The second ethylene/alpha-olefin makes up from about 60 to about 95 weight percent of the blend. The blend makes up from about 40 to 100 weight percent of the total weight of the film. The film has a total free shrink at 85°C of at least 60 percent and a peak load impact strength of at least 135 Newtons per mil. The film can be monolayer or multilayer and multilayer films can comprise a second layer comprising a thermoplastic polymer.

L'invention concerne des films thermorétractables présentant au moins une couche comprenant un mélange constitué d'un premier copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine possédant un rapport Mw/Mn compris approximativement entre 1 et 3,0 et d'un second copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine possédant un rapport Mw/Mn supérieur à 3,0. Le premier copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine présente une densité comprise approximativement entre 0,91 g/cc et 0,925 g/cc, un premier point de fusion compris approximativement entre 85 °C et 110 °C et un second point de fusion compris approximativement entre 111 °C et 125 °C. Le second copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine présente une densité comprise approximativement entre 0,90 et 0,91 g/cc. Le premier copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine constitue approximativement 5 à 40 % en poids du mélange. Le second copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine constitue approximativement 60 à 95 % en poids du mélange. Le mélange représente approximativement 40 à 100 % en poids du poids total du film. Le film présente un retrait libre total à 85 °C d'au moins 60 % et une résistance au choc de pointe d'au moins 135 Newtons par millième de pouce. Ce film peut être un film monocouche ou multicouche et les films multicouches peuvent comprendre une deuxième couche comprenant un polymère thermoplastique.
