There is described an optionally flexible and/or polymeric packaging film (e.g. BOPP) having at least one tear line (5) and at least one tab (7) thereon, where the tab (7) has a free end, an end attached to the film and free sides connecting the two ends, the tab (7) positioned so the axis of at least one tear line (5) passes through both ends of the tab (7) characterised in that: (a) at least one of the free sides of the tab (7) taper outwardly from the attached end and the tear line (5); and (b) at least one angle theta (.theta.) is an acute angle greater than about 5~ where theta (.theta.) is defined as an angle subtending the free end of the tab (7) measured between: (i) an axis defined by the average direction of one of the tab (7) sides averaged over a the last quarter of the maximum length of the tab (7) starting from the attached end; and (ii) an axis defined by the average direction of the tear line (5) along the film. A method of preparing such films and packaging articles (such as cigarette cartons) over-wrapped with such films are also described.
L'invention concerne une feuille mince d'emballage, éventuellement souple, et/ou polymère (par exemple, BOPP) présentant au moins une ligne de perforations de séparation (5) et au moins une languette (7) appliquée sur celle-ci, la languette (7) présentant une extrémité libre, une extrémité attachée à la feuille et des côtés libres reliant les deux extrémités, la languette (7) étant positionnée de telle façon que l'axe d'au moins une ligne de perforations (5) passe à travers les deux extrémités de la languette (7), caractérisée en ce que (a) au moins l'un des côtés libres de la languette (7) se termine en pointe vers l'extérieur, à partir de l'extrémité attachée et de la ligne de perforations (5), et (b) au moins un angle thêta (.theta.) est un angle aigu supérieur à environ 5·, où thêta (.theta.) est défini comme étant un angle sous-tendant l'extrémité libre de la languette (7) mesurée entre : (i) un axe défini par la direction moyenne de l'un des côtés de la languette (7) pris en moyenne sur le dernier quart de la longueur maximale de la languette (7) à partir de l'extrémité attachée ; et (ii) un axe défini par la direction moyenne de la ligne de perforations (5) le long de ladite feuille mince. L'invention concerne également un procédé de préparation de telles feuilles minces et d'articles d'emballage (tels que cartouches de cigarettes) enveloppés desdites feuilles minces.
