The invention discloses methods of improving blocking resistant properties and reducing the coefficient of friction of a multilayer film comprising providing at least one layer of an ethylene-propylene impact copolymer having from about 3 % to about 30 % by weight ethylene, wherein said copolymer has no more than two peaks in the melting curve within the range from about 110 ~C to about 165 ~C, and wherein said layer is non-heat sealable, to a multilayer film having a core layer comprising polypropylene, high density polyethylene (HDPE) or linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), whereby anti-blocking and coefficient of friction characteristics of said film is improved without necessity of adding an antiblock or slip agent.

L'invention concerne un procédé visant à améliorer les propriétés de résistance au blocage et à réduire le coefficient de frottement d'un film multicouches; le procédé consiste à former au moins une couche d'un copolymère d'impact éthylène-propylène possédant entre environ 3 % et environ 30 % en poids d'éthylène, ledit copolymère possédant pas plus de deux pointes dans la courbe de fusion, dans une gamme entre environ 110 ·C et environ 165 ·C. Cette couche peut être scellée sans action thermique à un film multicouches possédant une couche de noyau comprenant un polypropylène, un polyéthylène haute densité (PEHD) ou un polyéthylène linéaire basse densité (PELBD). On améliore les propriétés antibloquantes et le coefficient des caractéristiques de frottement dudit film sans avoir à ajouter un agent antiblocage ou glissant.
