- 1 - Abstract: A filter capable of providing a maximum filtering surface in a limited narrow space is disclosed. Its disassembling and assembling operations are easy for removal of sludges and its construction is simple to allow a low cost of manufacture. The filter material is prepared by providing a core member with holes whose both surfaces are covered by filter cloth. The core can be formed from a semi-hardening material demonstrating a relatively soft bending strength. The filter material is shaped into a core cylinder with holes or a core sheet with holes, and a variety of embodiments including a concentric different diameter multiplex ring arrangement are disclosed. A large filtering surface is provided by the use of the core member and a combination of the double surface filter cloth with the core member allows use of a low filtering speed. Furthermore, the filter has excellent filtering efficiency which is accomplished by providing a smooth filter liquid path.
