ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A filter assembly generally comprising a one-piece molded peripheral side wall having two annular sections with an inner, peripheral mounting surface extending radially there- between. A closure wall having a peripheral surface engageable and secured to the inner, peripheral mounting surface of the peripheral wall within one of the annular sections cooperates with the peripheral wall to define a chamber. A filter medium is disposed in the chamber. A first fluid passageway extends through the opening in the tank to the filter medium and a separate second fluid passageway extends from the filter medium through the opening in the tank. One of the peripheral wall sections includes a laterally projecting portion having a side wall and a top forming a pump mounting.
