ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE When using an inhalation device, the patient inhales an aerosol which has been produced by a nebulizer. When inhaling, the aerosol reaches the patient's airways and lungs; when exhaling residual quantities of the aerosol can be in the expired air. In some cases it is necessary to avoid releasing the residual quantities of the aerosol into the air. This can be accomplished by a filter set. The filter set disclosed herein includes a first filter housing part, a second housing part, a filter element adapted to be clamped between the both housing parts, and a valve formed as part of the second filter housing. Due to the construction of the filter set, the filter element can be easily replaced.
