A filter element (1) of sintered-together plastics particles having substantially the shape of a narrow, hollow box with two large, zigzag or corrugated first side walls (7), two narrow second side walls (33) inter-connecting the first side walls (7), a closed bottom side (13) and an opposite open side, with the peaks and valleys of the first side walls extending in the direction from the bottom side (3) to the open side and the filter element (1), at the open side, having a head (5) for attachment which is elongate and constitutes at least one flow passage (19), characterized in that the filter element (1) comprises two unified halves (37; 39) each containing one of the first side walls (7), that a foot (3) of synthetic resin is cast on the bottom side, and that the head (5) consists of synthetic resin and is cast on the first and second side walls (7; 33) such that it surrounds with a first part (23) of its height the first and second side walls (7; 33) on the outside and projects with a second part (25) of its height beyond the first and second side walls (7; 33) so as to cover the same at the ends (27) thereof, and in that the head forms (5) in the second part (25) of its height, in the at least one flow passage (19) an, in terms of flow, advantageous transition (31) from the zigzag or corrugated space (17) confined between the two first side walls (7) to a substantially rectangular cross-section of flow.

Cet élément de filtrage (1) se caractérise en ce qu'il est constitué de deux moitiés réunies (37; 39) qui contiennent chacune une des premières parois latérales (7), en ce qu'une patte (3) en résine synthétique est coulée sur le fond et en ce que la tête (5) est constituée de résine synthétique coulée sur les premières et deuxièmes parois latérales (7; 33) de façon à entourer avec une première partie (23) de son hauteur les premières et deuxièmes parois latérales (7; 33), par leur côté extérieur, et à s'étendre au-delà des premières et deuxièmes parois latérales (7, 33) avec une deuxième partie (25) de sa longueur qui recouvre l'extrémité (27) de celles-ci. Au niveau du ou des passages d'écoulement (19), la tête (5) forme avec la deuxième partie (25) de son hauteur une transition (31) favorable à l'écoulement entre l'espace (17) en zigzag ou ondulé situé entre les deux premières parois latérales (7) et une section sensiblement rectangulaire d'écoulement.
