A system (figure 3) for monitoring a percentage of filter life remaining of a filter assembly (18) of filter-fan devices. The system uses a single thermistor (RT1) that is operated in two separate modes for monitoring the filter assembly. The thermistor (RT1) is positioned in the airflow of the filter-fan device (2) adjacent to the air outlet. A first current is applied to the thermistor (RT1) for determining the temperature of the airflow from a first thermistor voltage. The first thermistor voltage is responsive to the first current applied to the thermistor. A second current that is greater than the first current is applied to heat the thermistor. The temperature of the thermistor is determined from the second thermistor voltage which is responsive to the second current applied to the thermistor. The percentage of filter life remaining of the filter assembly is determined from the temperature of the airflow and the second thermistor voltage.

L'invention concerne un système (figure 3) de surveillance du pourcentage de la durée de vie restante d'un filtre d'un ensemble filtres (18) ou de dispositifs ventilateurs à filtres. Le système utilise un seul thermistor (RT1) qui fonctionne selon deux modes distincts pour surveiller l'ensemble filtres. Le thermistor (RT1) est placé dans le flux d'air du dispositif ventilateur à filtre (2) jouxtant la sortie d'air. Un premier courant est appliqué au thermistor (RT1) afin de déterminer la température du flux d'air à partir d'une première tension du thermistor. La première tension du thermistor réagit au premier courant appliqué au thermistor. Un second courant, supérieur au premier, est appliqué afin de chauffer le thermistor. La température du thermistor est déterminée à partir de la seconde tension du thermistor, laquelle réagit au second courant appliqué au thermistor. Le pourcentage de la durée de vie restante d'un filtre de l'ensemble filtres est déterminé à partir de la température du flux d'air et de la seconde tension du thermistor.
