FILTER RING FOR WASHER BASKET ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a washing machine having a tub with an annular filter located in the mouth of the tub the filter is resiliently clipped into position in the tub by way of a plurality of detents extending from the filter periphery into engaging relation within recesses of the tub. The detents have inclined contact surfaces serving as cams to facilitate entry of the filter into the mouth of the tub. The detents are mounted on separate portions of the filter wall each connected to the adjoining wall portion by a necked intermediate connection, to provide additional resilience to the arrangement.
