Filtering Apparatus Abstract of the disclosure The apparatus comprises a hollow casing made as a solid of revolution and having an inlet and an outlet, a spinner positioned at the inlet of the casing, a hollow filter element closed at one end, and a discharge connection piece attached to the lower portion of the casing. The filter element is a frame coated with a water-repellent polymeric foam material, and in coaxially spaced relationship with the casing, the outlet snugly holding the open end of the filter element. A space defined by the casing and the filter element is tapering from the inlet toward the outlet. Such arrangement obviates possible clogging of the cove- ring from water-repellent polymeric foam material and ingress of liquid impurities to the conduit fed by the apparatus.
