The invention relates to a filtering apparatus including, inside a filtering tower (1), a filtering section (r), a liquid collecting section (7) and a liquid feeding section (e). The liquid feeding section (e) includes a diffuser (A) attached to an upwardly oriented orifice (5a) formed at a leading end of a liquid feeding pipe (5). The object is to provide an apparatus which allows use of the existing filtering tower without its enlargement and which allows uniform falling of the filtering liquid over the substantially entire top surface of the filter medium layer, thus making it readily possible to maintain the flatness of the top surface of the filter medium layer even when light-weight medium is employed, thereby to allow the filter medium layer as well as the entire filtering apparatus to achieve their desired filtering performance. The diffuser (A) includes a damping portion (k) for damping the momentum of the liquid discharged from the orifice (5a), a first discharging portion (8) for upwardly discharging the liquid damped by the damping portion (k), a second discharging portion (9) for laterally discharging the liquid damped by the damping portion (k), and a third discharging portion (10) for downwardly discharging the liquid damped by the damping portion (k), said first, second and third discharging portions being stacked one on another from the top to the bottom in the mentioned order.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de filtration. Ce dispositif comprend une colonne de filtration (1) dans laquelle sont placées une section de filtration (r), une section de collecte de liquide (7) et une section d'alimentation en liquide (e), cette dernière section (e) comportant un diffuseur (A) monté dans une ouverture vers le haut (5a) ménagée dans l'extrémité avant d'une tube d'alimentation en liquide (5). Avec l'état d'installation existant qui évite d'augmenter la taille de la colonne de filtration, et même lors de l'utilisation d'un agent de filtration présentant une faible force de gravité, le liquide ainsi filtré est amené à partir de l'ouverture dans la section d'alimentation en liquide , puis est appliqué à l'agent formant filtre de telle sorte qu'il est réparti le plus uniformément possible, ce qui permet d'obtenir la performance de filtration requise sans modifier le caractère plat de la surface supérieure de l'agent de filtration. Le diffuseur (A) est pourvu d'une section de désexcitation (k) pour supprimer l'élan du liquide pulvérisé à partir de l'ouverture (5a). En outre, un première orifice d'alimentation (8) pour fournir en amont le liquide désexcité, un deuxième orifice d'alimentation (9) pour fournir de manière latérale ce liquide et un troisième orifice d'alimentation (10) pour fournir en avant ce liquide, ces trois orifices étant placés les uns au-dessus des autres, dans l'ordre mentionné à partir du sommet.
