La membrane de filtration, formée d'une matière minérale frittée, comprend une ou plusieurs couches formant couche de filtration et constituées de grains solida- risés entre eux. La rugosité moyenne à la surface de la couche de filtration externe, sur une distance au moins égale à 5 fois la dimension moyenne des grains, est inférieure à 0,20 fois cette dimension moyenne au niveau de cette surface. L'inven- tion s'applique à la filtration de liquides alimentaires ou de gaz chauds ou corrosifs.
