A B S T R A C T The drum is provided with internal buckets for conveying the slag upwards, after which it falls freely onto a conveyor belt passing longitudinally through the drum, said bucket (6) consisting of a retaining blade (18) and a filtering blade (20). Behind each filtering blade (20), as viewed in the direction of rotation, a deflector (36) is provided which is formed by a deflecting plate (38) associated with a profiled part (40), said profiled part (40) and the said retaining blade (13) forming the supporting framework for the drum (4).
