A crossflow filter comprising at least one membrane coated filtering units in a filter housing. The joints between the housing and the filtering unit are sealed by means of a gasket or a gasket system comprising an intermediate space. As the intermediate space is connected to the outside, a seal leak can be observed from emerging liquid. Thus, a substrate to be filtered cannot penetrate to the filtrate side as a consequence of a seal failure.

L'invention concerne un filtre à flux tangentiel comprenant au moins un élément filtrant recouvert d'une membrane, installé dans un boîtier. Les jonctions entre le boîtier et l'élément filtrant sont scellées par un joint ou par un système de joints comprenant un espace intermédiaire. Cet espace intermédiaire est relié avec l'extérieur de manière qu'une fuite au niveau du joint est signalée par une sortie de liquide. Un substrat devant être filtré est ainsi empêché de pénétrer du côté du filtrat en cas de défaillance d'un joint.
