A B S T R A C T A casing, comprising two or more body portions, defines a chamber which contains filter elements for filtering liquids. In assembly, liquid entering the chamber through the inlet port is constrained to pass through the filter before exiting through the outlet port. The two or more body portions are held together such that liquid will not escape between them until the internal fluid pressure exceeds a predetermined value.
