ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE FINE PARTICULATE MATERIAL A new form of titanium dioxide has been developed in which the particles have a substantially rectangular cross-section with a width to length ratio of at least 0.8:1Ø A most desirable cubic form of anatase titanium dioxide is included. The products are formed by hydrolysing a solution containing TiOCl2 species under autothermal pressure.
