The Fingerprint Acquisition Device (FAD) is a unique electro-optical device capable of capturing a rolled fingerprint in a single instance. After the image is captured it is processed to bring out more detail then stored in a database. Fingerprint images stored in a database can later be retrieved and printed on official security forms.
