A smoke mask includes a moistened generally planar mask constructed of a moisture absorbing material that is sized to cover the nose and mouth of a user. A peripheral edge of the mask (8) includes a pressure sensitive adhesive (20) for securing the mask (8) to the face of the user. At least one slit (14) in the peripheral edge of the mask (8) enables the mask (8) to adapt to the contour of the face of the user for obtaining a tight fit of the mask. The mask (8) is used in combination with a pull-apart storage structure having first and second generally planar sealing sheets (4, 6). The sealing sheets (4, 6) are sealingly attached to each other along an outer peripheral edge (24) for forming a moisture-impermeable hollow interior in which the moistened mask (8) is disposed. The combination includes provisions for i) separating the first and second sealing sheets (4, 6) for removing the moistened mask (8) disposed in the hollow interior of the pull-apart storage structure, and ii) for exposing the pressure sensitive adhesive (20) upon removal of the moistened mask (8) from the hollow interior of the pull-apart storage structure.
L'invention porte sur un masque (8) anti-fumées consistant en une partie humidifiée sensiblement plane d'un matériau absorbant l'humidité dimensionnée pour recouvrir le nez et la bouche, et dont le rebord périphérique est enduit d'un adhésif (20) autocollant permettant de fixer le masque (8) à la figure. Il est prévu au moins une fente (14) dans le rebord périphérique permettant d'adapter le masque (8) aux formes de la figure pour en assurer l'étanchéité. Le masque (8) est associé à une structure de rangement arrachable faite de deux feuillets (4, 6) sensiblement planes adhérant hermétiquement l'un à l'autre par leur périphérie (24) et formant une pochette imperméable à l'humidité contenant le masque (8) humidifié. Ladite association est conçue: (i) pour pouvoir séparer les deux feuillets (4, 6) afin d'extraire le masque (8) humide se trouvant dans la susdite pochette, et (ii) pour dénuder l'adhésif (20) autocollant lors de l'extraction du masque (8) humide de la pochette.
