The present invention relates to a device for rapidly extinguishing a fixed-wick oil stove by closing off an oil--supply tube when the oil stove is overturned or an earthquake occurs. More specifically, it relates to a device of this type which is formed using just a construction having no need for an electrical power source, which reduces costs, which entails no risk of breakdown, and which after the oil stove has been extinguished can straightforwardly be restored to the state prior to operation. The present invention is a fixed-wick oil burner which comprises: a hexahedral housing (40) provided on a support (10); a lever (50) which is supported in such a way as to be able to perform a seesaw movement on a floor plate (41b) of the housing (40), and which is provided with a resilient support member (53) between its under-surface at one end and the floor plate (41b), and which also has positioned, between its other end and the floor plate (41b), an oil-supply tube (22) formed of a heat-resistant flexible material; a weighting member (60) which is provided between an upper plate (41a) and one end of the lever (50) in such a way that a resilient member (61) is used to force face--to-face contact between facing parts, an upper weighting body (62a) and a lower weighting body (62b), and in such a way that the upper end of the upper weighting body (62a) and the lower end of the lower weighting body (62b) come into face-to-face contact with the upper plate (41a) and one end of the lever (50), and which is arranged in such a way that it gives way when a shock force of more than a certain value is transmitted to one or other of the upper and lower weighting bodies (62a) or (62b); and a restoring rod (70) which is connected to the lever (50), with a free end projecting outside the upper plate (41a).
L'invention porte sur un dispositif d'extinction rapide d'un poêle à pétrole à mèche fixe fermant le tube d'alimentation en pétrole lorsque le poêle est renversé ou qu'un tremblement de terre se produit. Elle porte plus spécifiquement sur un dispositif de ce type dont la structure ne nécessite pas de courant électrique, ce qui réduit les coûts, est sans risque en cas de panne de courant, et permet de ramener directement à l'état antérieur de fonctionnement un poêle ayant été éteint. L'invention porte également sur un poêle à pétrole à mèche fixe comportant : un logement hexaédrique (40) monté sur un support (10); un levier (50) monté de manière à pouvoir exécuter un mouvement en dents de scie sur la plaque de fond (41b) du logement (40) et muni d'un dispositif de support élastique (53) placé entre sa face inférieure à une extrémité et la plaque de fond (41b), un tube d'alimentation en pétrole (22) fait d'un matériau souple résistant à la chaleur étant placé entre son autre extrémité et la plaque de fond (41b); une masselotte (60) placée entre une plaque supérieure (41a) et une extrémité du levier (50) de manière à ce qu'un élément élastique (61) assure un contact forcé entre les parties se faisant face et comportant un élément supérieur (62a) de masselotte et un élément inférieur (62b) de masselotte disposés de manière à ce que l'extrémité supérieure de l'élément supérieur (62a) et l'extrémité inférieure de l'élément inférieur (62b) entrent en contact face contre face avec la plaque supérieure (41a) et une extrémité du levier (50), ladite masselotte étant conçue pour céder lorsque la force d'un choc dépassant une certaine valeur est transmise à l'un de ses éléments (62a ou 62b); et une tige de remise en état (70) reliée au levier (50) et dont l'extrémité libre saille de la plaque supérieure (41a).
