Abstract of the Disclosure A fire-proof construction for an automobile instrument with a flexible printed circuit board comprises an instrument casing in contact with the board, which casing is formed with through apertures or recesses or provided with incombustible material filled in the recesses in opposition to narrowed portions of the printed circuit so as not to be in direct contact with the narrowed portions, thereby preventing the casing from firing due to heating of the narrowed portions before they are fused.
