The lining comprises a two-sided textile layer of thermostable fibres; a waterproof but breathable film is spot-glued to one side of the textile layer of thermostable fibres and is intended to be in contact with the outer layer of the garment. The lining also comprises a reinforced non-woven fabric which is mechanically bonded to the other side of the thermostable textile layer in order to serve as the inner layer of the garment. For a comparable quantity of thermostable material, this lining has properties superior to those obtained with the use of one or more inserts, while making assembly very simple and thus reducing costs. It also has considerable resistance to abrasion and pilling.

La doublure comporte une couche textile de fibres thermostables comportant une première et une deuxième face; un film imperméable et respirable collé par points sur la première face de la couche textile de fibres thermostables et étant destinée à être en contact avec la surface extérieure du vêtement. La doublure comporte un non-tissé renforcé, associé à la couche textile thermostable par aiguilletage, en contact avec la deuxième face de cette couche et destinée à constituer la surface intérieure du vêtement. Pour une quantité de matière thermostable comparable, cette doublure donne des propriétés supérieures à celles obtenues avec l'utilisation d'un ou plusieurs inserts, tout en permettant une grande simplicité de confection et donc une diminution des coûts. Elle possède également une bonne résistance à l'abrasion et au boulochage.
