The invention concerns the use of organic fibres having a melting point lower than 300 ·C, an average length l more than 1 mm and a diameter O not more than 200 µm, in ultra high performance concrete for improving the concrete fire resistance, the amount of organic fibres being such that their volume ranges between 0.1 and 3 % of the concrete volume after setting and the concrete having a compressive strength at 28 days of at least 120 Mpa, a bending strength of at least 20 Mpa, and a spread value in non-hardened state of at least 150 mm, said values being for a concrete preserved at 20 ·C, said concrete consisting of a particularly hardened cement matrix wherein metal fibres are dispersed.
Utilisation de fibres organiques présentant une température de fusion inférieure à 300~C, une longueur moyenne l supérieure à 1 mm et un diamètre d'au plus 200 µm, dans un béton ultra haute performance pour améliorer la résistance au feu du béton, la quantité de fibres organiques étant telle que leur volume est compris entre 0,1 et 3 % du volume du béton après la prise et le béton présentant une résistance à la compression à 28 jours d'au moins 120 MPa, une résistance à la flexion d'au mois 20 MPa, et une valeur d'étalement à l'état non durci d'au moins 150 mm, ces valeurs étant données pour un béton conservé et maintenu à 20~C, ledit béton étant constitué d'une matrice cimentaire particulière durcie dans laquelle sont dispersées des fibres métalliques.
